Cynthia Abbott, MS, LPC

Cynthia Abbott is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults and families. She has over 6 years of experience helping people deal with a variety of issues - anxiety, depression, substance abuse, PTSD, self-harm, and sexual trauma/abuse. Cynthia subscribes to an eclectic combination of therapy modalities, including, but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Theory, Solution-Focused Therapy and Holistic Psychotherapy. Cynthia is currently obtaining a specialty in Trauma and Disaster Crisis Intervention Counseling. She obtained a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Fullerton, and her Masters Degree in Counseling from Missouri State University. Cynthia originally worked in the corporate world in International Sales Administration and was able to travel overseas extensively for business for many years. Throughout her travels, one thing became very clear to her, and that was regardless of one's race, religion, or culture, people all suffer similarly from the same mental health maladies that restrict us from being the best and happiest person we can be. So she decided to leave the corporate world behind and do something that she felt had more meaning and had a direct impact on the well-being of individuals.

Constance Brown, MSW, LMSW, MAADCII. She is a licensed Master of Social Work and Missouri associate alcohol drug counselor II. She graduated from Missouri State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. After school, she began my career in social work. She worked for Greene County Children's division before finishing her Masters in Social Work. After working at CD she worked at Lakeland Behavioral Hospital as a therapist in the Discovery Unit. She is working toward my full licensure. Even though she takes all clientele, she would like to focus on trauma. She would also like to follow my dreams of becoming a sex therapist. She is a second-year therapist with over eight years of experience as a social worker. She meets people where they are and walk alongside them to where they want to be. She works with all ages. When humans experience trauma or extreme life stressors, it is not unusual for people's lives to feel as though they are unraveling. Her role is to help people begin to heal and process their situations. She helps my clients find healthy patterns of perceptions and strong relationships with themselves and others, so they can have peace and feel complete, whole, and safe.
